We believe you, and we know that your pain is real.
Migraine. They are much more than bad headaches and they are often debilitating for those living with them. Chronic migraine pain interrupts your life and puts everything on hold until the migraine is over.
Many migraine sufferers have tried procedures and medicines that either didn’t work or had side effects. Too often they have seen doctors who can’t find a cause for their pain and have lead the patient to think it’s all in their head.
But we know it isn’t. We know that this pain is negatively impacting your quality of life. We want you to know we care, we believe you, and we want to help eliminate your pain.
A treatment called TruDenta® is giving migraine sufferers like you relief. It doesn’t require medication or surgery. Most patients start to see relief after just a few treatments.
Dr. Mary Cresseveur-Reed is proud to offer TruDenta® to her patients suffering from pain in their face, neck and jaw, as well as chronic headaches and migraines. The goal is to lessen the number of headaches and/or pain while reducing their duration and intensity.

Treatment with TruDenta®
TruDenta® helps patients suffering from pain in their face, neck and jaw, as well as chronic headaches and migraines. Its goal is to lessen the number of headaches and/or pain while reducing their duration and intensity. It is ideal for dentists and hygienists to administer because they are already knowledgeable about the jaw, head and mouth areas.
TruDenta® employs many techniques that have been used in sports medicine for several years and applies them to dentomandibular sensorimotor dysfunction, a complex condition involving the muscles of the head, neck and jaw. It is designed to help patients dealing with pain related to temporomandibular joint pain, chronic headaches and migraines, vertigo, and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
The procedure does not use drugs or needles.
The first visit is a general overview to determine the problem and to create a plan for treatment. It involves a complete a health history form which details your medical history including accidents or trauma which might have triggered the pain; location of pain; sleeping habits; and how long you have had the pain.
Your bite force distribution and pressure will be tested on a T-scan device hooked up to a computer and will be rated on a scale of 1-3. It will determine if you are biting down equally on all teeth over the series of three successive tests. Then a range of motion test will be performed, tilting the head back and forth and side to side.
Depending on the severity of the problem, patients will attend 8 to 10 weekly 50-minute sessions. During visits, an ultra sound is used to bring blood flow to the problem area with ultrasonic waves, and a special MSM lotion is applied to painful muscles as a topical anti-inflammatory followed by a trigger point manipulation massage of the head, neck and shoulders. A cold laser that promotes healing of chronic inflammation in muscle and joint tissue is also used.
Some patients will be fit with a mouth orthotic to help reset their jaw’s natural alignment. Patients are also given a series of exercises and stretches to do as part of a daily one-hour self-treatment home regimen using products provided by the dentist including a TruDenta M micro current devices that uses electrical stimulation to further assist with pain relief.

Life Changing Solutions
Kay Lynn came to us after suffering from daily headaches, migraines and jaw pain for more than eight years. She told us that she was in pain at least 25 days of the month and if she was lucky she would have five pain-free days a month. Kay Lynn woke up with daily jaw pain and headaches that progressed into migraines as the day went on.
Kay Lynn is a busy wife, mother, and grandmother, and is active in her church. Her daily pain has caused her to miss out on a lot of events and holidays with her family. She even spent Christmas in the hospital because she was in so much pain.
Kay Lynn started treatment with us and has not experienced a migraine since the second week of treatment. Her headaches are becoming less frequent and of a shorter duration. Her jaw pain is completely gone since she has been given her custom-fit orthotic that she wears nightly. She also tells us that she is sleeping a lot better and feeling well rested since starting treatment.
She is enjoying getting back to her regular lifestyle and spending time with the ones she loves. Our treatments have been life changing for her.
